Carl began his investment banking career in the Oil and Gas Group at JPMorgan in 2001 and has executed a wide variety of M&A, capital raise, restructuring, and fairness opinion engagements for energy clients during his career. In 2002, Carl worked at Captus Advisors, a financial advisory boutique, where he advised natural resource companies in both buyside and sellside M&A transactions. Beginning in 2006, Carl joined Houlihan Lokey where he was a member of the Energy Group and executed over 30 transactions during his tenure. Following Houlihan Lokey, Carl joined the Strategy Group at AXA Financial, in 2010, and was responsible for analyzing and executing both acquisitive and organic business development strategies for the firm. In 2011, Carl joined M.M. Dillon & Co. as a founding member of the current Energy Group.
Carl earned an MSc in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics, an MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina, and a BA from Brigham Young University. Carl is FINRA Series 7, 63, and 79 registered.
